QTP: (Job Code - Automation Engineer)
Job Description:
* Provide development and support for automation needs such as
Functional Testing efforts using HP - Quick Test Professional and
Quality Center. Responsible for providing day-to-day support in
developing basic and complex test scripts, problem log reporting,
operations documentation analysis, and operational troubleshooting

Skills Required:
* 2 to 4 years of experience in Automation and testing role with
minimum of 2 years mandatory experience in automation using HP's
Quick Test Professional
* Business Process Test (BPT) and SQL Experience preferred
* Understanding of REST web services, HTML, Java Script and CSS preferred
* Good writing & verbal communication skills. Proven Client
interfacing skills.
* Self motivated and possesses the ability to inspire and motivate
the team to reach higher levels of achievement in product leadership
* Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills with the ability to
work independently to resolve complex issues in a timely manner.
* Proven ability to work under pressure and changing environment
* Proven ability to take a hands-on approach to learning and
understanding new software packages, Mechanisms for running
software, new skills and business processes
* Experience in test management and defect management tools
* Experience with automation tools
* Ability to analyze and make decisions
* General knowledge of system layers (applications, Infrastructure
and Operating Systems)
Responsibilities:
* Develop basic and complex scripts/programs for functional
testing and maintenance needs, using tools such as QTP and QC,
including development of functions in C, VB Scripting and Java
Scripting.
* Keeps abreast with latest technologies being used in test
automation to apply them on the job.
* Creates and executes reusable automation test scripts
* Executes tests according to specifications and scripts
* Documents results in testing repository and compares to expected results.
* Resolves and escalates issues in a timely manner, in order to
meet scheduled deadlines.
Qualification: B.Tech, B.E, M.Tech, M.E, MS, MCA

only 2 years experience
